Debra has always loved libraries since she was a child. A former library aide during her college years in a work-study job, Debra almost changed her major from English to library science. She loved writing so much that she continued with her English Lit degree. Debra is happy to support libraries and reading groups in any way she can.
Debra lived in Bartlett, TN, just outside Memphis, for 23 years and has supported the Memphis and Bartlett libraries. Bookstock is a book signing and fundraising event to support the Memphis Library. In the 2017 photo below, she is the fourth author from the right. She is holding a copy of Check Out, which is set in Bartlett, TN, and features a librarian heroine, a Marine Vet with PTSD, and a college-age sister who has a stalker.
