Debra has hosted an annual Elf Party every year from Dec. 1st – 12th in her reader group on Facebook for the past eight years. The party celebrates books, guest authors, and their elves, games, and prizes.

Due to her Facebook pages being under attack, and one page taken down, Debra decided to move the elf party to her new Discord. One big difference is Discord is a server, not a social media site. Debra will control the content of this private site for her readers and intends to make this a safe place to enjoy silly elf fun without worrying about having the group suddenly disappear.

*** ROMANTIC SUSPENSE ***

Debra is most known for writing military romantic suspense.

To Catch an Elf is set in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, where Debra lived for six years, and is the story of a sweet house sitter and dog sitter during the Christmas holidays in Ski County. The story features a cute King Charles Spaniel, a creepy antique Christmas elf, in an online contest, and a serial killer who is determined to take her. He doesn’t know she’s met a handsome Air Force hero who has started dating her and will do whatever it takes to get her back.

The Bobbins Sisters trilogy:

Set in Bartlett TN, just outside Memphis, where Debra lived for 23 years.

Debra has three connected western historical romance books. Her first novel, A Desperate Journey, came out in 2009 through Samhain Publishing in a traditional deal with an agent after the book was a finalist in the American Title II contest put on by Dorchester Publishing and Romantic Times Book Lovers magazine. Her novella, Dangerous Ties, was published by Desert Breeze Publishing. Deadly Adversaries, is the third book and connects the first two with the grown children of the two couples in the previous books. The first two books can be read as standalone books. After her publishers closed and rights reverted to Debra, she self-published all three books, changing the title of the first to Gone to Texas: A Desperate Journey. It is now available in trade paperback, large print hardcover, and eBook. The title of the original manuscript was Gone to Texas.

The Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII begins with three quick novellas, and all three are combined in trilogy #1. These SEALs are based in Virginia Beach, VA, and hang out at Chicks Bar. (A real place you can visit if you go to VA Beach.) Each story has action and romance.

Finding Bryce: book 1 – Pippa left her abusive ex-husband. While he is safely behind bars, she indulges in one night of passion with a handsome stranger she meets at a costume party, never exchanging names… and ends up pregnant. Now, she lives in fear that there will be hell to pay if her ex finds out.

Tanner “Diesel” Taylor takes his responsibilities to his family and as a SEAL seriously. Yet he never saw himself getting married and settling down. While the night he spent with Pippa was amazing, they only know each other as a masked gladiator and a woodland fairy. Two years later, he learns they share a son. Unfortunately, Tanner’s arrival on her doorstep to meet Bryce comes too late. Released from prison, her vicious ex abducts both mother and son.

Armed with his vast training, Deisel will stop at nothing to get them back. Pippa has no idea the SEAL is on his way. Trapped with her enraged ex, can Pippa keep herself and her child safe until help arrives?

Writing in the Brotherhood Protectors World of Elle James: Debra sets her stories in a world within Elle’s World of former special forces soldiers working as bodyguards. Debra’s Three C’s Ranch is where women who are attacked or abused go to learn self-defense and other skills to empower them to begin new lives. Debra has seven novellas in the series and they are the only books by Debra in Kindle Unlimited. They are available as ebooks and in trade paperback.

*** HISTORICAL ROMANCE ***

Debra writes a 1920’s romance series. Trapping the Butterfly was first published by Desert Breeze and the novella won a RONE award for the cover. When Debra got her rights back she made Trapping the Butterfly the first in her 1920’s Butterflies Fly Free series of novellas, each about a woman who longs to be free. Dancing Butterfly is book two, and Exotic Butterfly is book three. The books are interconnected as the women meet each other, but can be read as standalone. A fourth book Butterfly Metamorphosis is planned for 2025.

The 50-book American Bride series contains a historical romance from each of the 50 states written by different authors. Debra said she would join in, if she could write the Ohio book, as she was born in Columbus OH and raised in Springfield, OH. Isabella, Bride of Ohio, was written to honor Debra’s Swedish grandmother and is set in Yello Springs, OH fifteen minutes from where her parents lived.
